How fantastic!!!

I will read the manuals obviously but phew, what a relief! I failed my UK driving test twice and the thought of having to do another filled me with dread!!!

Well passed the theory test with flying colors after all that worry

Unfortunately I failed the little eye test thingy they did so have to get a certificate from an Optometrist ..... certainly wasn't expecting that as have never had to wear glasses for driving, age is catching up on me it seems hehe

Well done Alison. As for the eyes/age thing - it catches us all up in the end

haha too true Nicky :D

Had my eye test today and my right eye has got a lot worse from my last test oopsie But the optometrist was really nice and said as I was borderline for having to wear glasses he would complete the form to say I was ok to drive, but advises that I do start to wear glasses for distance from now on Sods law of course, they had run out of forms so I still have to wait a few more days before i can get my NZ license lol

Cool

Hi,

Wonder if you could advise the source of this information ?

I have just been to change car registration at NZ Land Transport where there is an actual license testing centre and they inform me that, as far as they are concerned, this is not the case.

Regards

Applies from 1 September 2008 - although you would think they would still know about it!

If you go back to the first post, you will be able to go to the source.

Thanks, Sal. You beat me to it. ScotsJon is a bit too early to benefit from the new ruling. It's under item 8.

Many thanks, will print off and take it in to them.

However, I cannot see them losing out on the revenue ($86.00) that they charge to convert at present !!! Somehow I think that will be the charge for this transfer.
