Default What to do when it's raining?
Okay, hit me with your best ideas. It's a rainy Saturday in Chch. We don't get that many (honest) and the kid's cricket matches have been cancelled. What can we do now that we've been to all the main attractions and the kids have completed every level of every game on the PS2?

Go outside and jump in the puddles!

Clean out the cupboards that you've been meaning to do for ages but haven't cos you've been outside in the sun, and get the kids to help

Get on the internet and find some more attractions so you can plan your next sunny day out!

Any other suggestions peeps?

When I was a kid, we'd put together a jigsaw puzzle. Each person would choose an area (Dad always took the sky), and work on it. We'd chat and be able to have comfortable silences, too.

It's still raining and the misery gets worse....


The latest Dr Who boxed set has just arrived in the post from the UK, but Mrs K says we can't have it 'til Christmas.

Bit late in the day to reply Koko ... had a hot sunny day up here in the Far North, visited the region's annual fair, and we are now looking a bit red, ... anyway, we know rain (lots of it) and we have a special cupboard with kids blocks, railway tracks, farm toys etc. that comes out on such occasions.

Failing that the video/dvd rental shop is a favourite place to visit - for dvds and playstation games.

It was usually risky for us to complain of being bored around Mom. She would usually come up with some chores for us to do.

That's really rough to wait a month and a half for Doctor Who, Koko. Just tell Mrs. K that Kiwi Christmas was back in June, so the DVDs showed up late, and you should tear into them now. I could write a note of support.
