Default TV in NZ

just a silly thing but I've been looking at the Sky offerings in NZ as this is the way I presume most people get their TV & was wondering what the content was like as the OH is a huge fan of sci-fi & discovery type programs & would miss these sort of programs immensley (either that or we'll have to get really good broadband so I can download stuff)

I presume you have looked at the SkyTV programme schedule when you say "offerings"?

Anyhow, there is no set sci-fi channel at the moment, though they do keep adding on new channels. We like a bit of sci-fi escapism in this family and at the moment we have:-

Sat am - Sky1 - Stargate (series 7, I think), 7Days.
Sat pm - Channel 2 - Stargate (series 10, I think)
Sun am/pm - Prime - Enterprise, Star Trek TNG, Star Trek DS9.
Sun pm - Sky1 - Stargate and 7Days (Saturday's episodes repeated).
Sun evening - Prime - Doctor Who.

Stargate Atlantis has just recently finished a series, don't know when they will be back. Battlestar Galactica is repeating the first series in a couple of weeks on Friday evenings. Sure we have had other sci-fi programmes (mostly US) but can't remember them at the moment!

SkyTV here has a Discovery channel, NatGeo, Documentary, History, Animal Planet and a new Crime & Investigation channel. Plenty to see on these.
