Well done, Francis! Overcoming the medical issues is always a biggy so it's good that you've come through it. Good luck for the rest of the process. Let's hope it won't be long before we see some smilies from you.

    Default Money taken

    Hi

    cheers tamtra

heard any more about your application?

When they take the money out of your account does that mean they've made an intial check on your ita and are satisfied that they have the correct documentation to proceed with assessment?

    Francis

    Hey Francis,

Well, we sent in a bank draft... so I'm not sure about deducting from the account...
If you receive a letter from INZ with the payment receipt and an application acceptance letter containing the application Lodgement Date, then I think they are good to go.
Should they require any additional documents later during processing they will contact you for it - like they did a friend of mine.

Along with our payment receipt and acceptance letter, they also returned some original docs we'd sent in, plus some photographs(for proof of relationship).

No, we haven't heard anything from them yet. Fingers crossed, hopefully 'No news is good news' applies here! :)

    Thanks,
    Tamtra

    Default Long wait

    Halo,

Like tamtra my ITA is summit back in December and Date Lodged is on 28 December. Today i just receive an email from INZ Shanghai Branch to inform me my case offer will only be assign in September 2010. It is normal for the long period of 9 months before a case offer been assign ? After the case offer been assign wat else happen and how long we still need to wait. Just felt this is too long..

Default Visa Officer / Case officer

    Hi,

Wish someone can help... I wish to know is a visa officer and a case officer is referring to a same person with a same job ? INZ shanghai had inform we my application will be pass over to a visa officer in september. By the way can i assume no one is handling it now and work only start once a visa officer be assign ? or now my application is with a case officer which is under a proceess and will pass over to a visa officer after this in September ? This is because we notice the medical certificate will only valid for 3 month and by september it will be expired. confused...

    Hi Savage_mau,

Do you mean that you received a second letter from the Shanghai branch saying it will be September 2010? We got a letter from them when we submitted the ITA, along with the payment receipt, which is the standard mail where they say it will take 9 months to allocate a CO. After that, we haven't received any communication from them.

Please let me know whether you received a second letter from them.

    Thanks!
    Tamtra

Default Case Offer / Visa officer

    hi Tamtra,

Actually i do receive the standard mail for INZ as well for the return of the photo and invoice of the payment. Just just i send them another email to check on my application progress. They just inform me they will assign a VISA officer around sept. I wish to know if a case officer is also a visa officer ? it there a different or are they doing the same thing ?

    Red face

    Dear friend

in my understanding, Visa officer & case officers are same , they all are refereed as the immigration officer.

please be patient , before nine months that wont even touch your file for processing , they would only cross check that the documents you have provided are correct like pcc, medicals, work experience certificate.

after nine months you would be alloted a case officer, who would go through you case and check the validy of your points claimed in your EOI and papers submitted with your ITA.

My suggestion to you is wait till september , which is normal and In october contact them again for the update.

Honestly contacting them before September would do no good.

    Good luck
