    Default What kind of interview?

Thank you MotherBeer for information about what is the worst possibilities that can happen?

What kind of interview? Do I have to travel for an interview?, And what is the nature of the interview questions? Please provide me with examples of interview questions

Another question, Is it possible at this stage or later to ask me for IELTS?, I've written in EOI that I have the minimum in the English language because the nature of my occupation ( ICT) and my studies and certifications require strong skills in language, is this enough?

Your interview will probably be held over the telephone and from what I have heard from other people, it is quite relaxed. These are examples of the type of questions you may be asked.

    Why did you choose NZ
What would you do as soon as you arrive in NZ i.e. do you have a plan
What accommodation plans do you have in place for when you first arrive
What have you done to research the cost of living and housing prices
    Where will you live.
What have you done to decide where you would like to live
What kind of research have you done about NZ and what have you found out about the place
Has anyone given you any advice about moving to NZ
What will you do if you don't get a job as quickly as you would have hoped
What have you done to look for employment so far
How long do you think it would take you to find work and how do you intend to find it.
What have you done to research the NZ job market in your field
What do you think will be the biggest barriers to finding a job
What will you do if you can't find a job in your field
What will your OH do for a living.
What if you do not find work in the area that you have chosen to live.
How do you plan to make friends
Do you know anyone in New Zealand
What sort of support would you have in NZ e.g. do you have any family/friends there.
How much money do you think you’d need to make a good living
    How will you support yourselves
Do you have support from your family.
How you will overcome barriers that you encounter
    Have you looked into schools
    What hobbies do you have
When do you want to go
Is there anything you want to add to support your application

If you have told INZ that you have completed your studies in English or use English on a regular basis, it is up to them to decide if you should do a IELTS test. It is quite usual for people who are not natural English speakers to be asked to do the test unless they can prove they have a solid background of speaking English.

Do you know if they interview the main applicant only? Or do they want to interview all members of the family? For example, if the main applicant is the husband, do they have to interview the wife too?

I've never had one, but I suspect they normally only interview the principal applicant. They may ask a few probing questions about how the family members involved will cope with various things e.g. if the wife/husband will work in NZ and whether the family is fully happy about the move. From what I have read from others who have undergone these interviews, the experience wasn't an unpleasant one.

I would add that INZ usually only conduct interviews where the principal applicant doesn't yet have a job offer.

Ahmad, if your application is being processed at Beijing/Shanghai, you may be interviewed over telephone. If your spouse is included in your application she also will be interviewed. In some other application centers they ask applicants to travel for
face to face interview(mainly applicants whose applications are being processed at Singapore/Delhi branch).
