    Default confirming work experience on ITA

    what do you do when companies you have worked for have gone bust.trying to ring people in the UK and having to send original paperwork of references back here is starting to get a pain!!!

    I get the impression this happens quite a bit. Do you have any paperwork or documentation at all from these companies like old payslips, contracts, letters on company letterhead, any kind of correspondence from them? INZ must be used to people saying their old company isn't operating any more so they can't get anything from them.

    hi mother bear.got letter from first company,just a reference really.i did state that i wanted all the info but they just sent a reference really, so i will explain to immigration nz in the ITA.they can ring up the company themselves.i am after 4 letters.the second company went bust so they havent any letterheads etc at all.i have spoken to the managing director and he will write a letter.again i have stated the info i want.if i get it is another thing.all i can provide is phone numbers.INZ can ring up if have to.so they can see i am trying. i havent any old tax slips,wages. i wish i kept them now. what do you think motherbear?

    You can't get blood out of a stone, Davey, so just give them as much information as you have so they can make their own investigations if they feel it necessary. It may be an idea to chart down exactly what you have done to try to get information from each company, so they can see the effort you have made in your attempts to get it.
