Congratulations, Davey. Perhaps with the Christmas holidays coming up, INZ got their act together and pushed a few things along, knowing that they would be shut for a couple of weeks.

Ah, yes, sometimes they do move things along quickly which gives you hope. My work permit was renewed and back to me in less than two weeks. But once you submit the paperwork for PR, be prepared for a wait! I'm hoping to hear something soon on my application, submitted at the end of August. I had to submit additional medical test results at their request (received in November) and now, still waiting to hear. (I am employed as a registered nurse in an underserved area, so hoping that will help move it along, as well.)

    Waiting, waiting, waiting.......
Arrived in Auckland on August 6, 2008.Now live in Kawakawa with my kiwi partner.
I just started working at Bay of Islands Hospital at the beginning of December 2009.
Work permit renewed and good until June 2010
EOI submitted and selected, case manager assigned and ITA received. PR application submitted 28/08/09
approved in principle 26/01/10, PR granted and received 19/03/10
