    Default Approved in Principle, YEAH!!

    Hi all!
We finally received an email yesterday confirming that our visa's have been approved in principal. Thank goodness the London branch has our passports and we've already sent the Migrant Levy form. Hopefully they don't take too long to send us back our passports as we'd like to go to NZ as soon as possible. We're busy sorting out our final things and hope to ship our stuff off soon. If anyone knows of a good shipping company from South Africa to NZ, please let me know. So far we're going to use Execu move. Thanks to everyone for your amazing advice and good wishes. Good luck to all of those still in this long process. Just be patient and perservere. Woo Hoo!!

Congratulations GR and good luck in your new life in NZ.

Re shipping from SA to NZ, perhaps you could pool resources with Karens .

Thank you every one for the good wishes!!
We're struggling to get flights from Johannesburg to Hong Kong. We want to spend Christmas and New Year with the hubby's family there. So far, there are only flights on 24 Dec:( I'm sure there'll be something soon though. So glad I've got a friend that works at a travel agency, ha ha!
We're going to stay in Torbay, NZ because my brother-in-law lives there and he has an extra room for us until we find jobs and need to move else where.
We received our passports today with those pretty blue stickers in, so excited!! Good luck once again to all those in the process and just keep the faith:)

    Hi PKrish,

I just noticed that you would've applied about the same time as us.
We lodged our application on the 9th of Dec. I was just wondering if you'd done any research on how long it takes to have a case officer assigned?
We have 140 points, no job offer, and our application is at the Shanghai Branch. According to the website, a case officer is assigned within six months. Do you know if it really takes this long? And once the case officer is assigned, 12-18months for processing.

Please do let me know if you know how long it takes on average.
    Thanks,
    Tamtra.
