    Default interview results taking forever

    Hie there

Had interview on the 11th of June 2009 its almost getting to two months with no answer from CO. Application submitted via Wellington branch and my nationality is Zimbabwean but currently living in Europe. Anyone who is also in the same boat, my whole life has been put on hold. For how long another waiting.

    thanks for your input.

    Patience Benjie ... patience.

Things take time. All in good time will happen. This is a major step forward in your life, so pray and be patient.

Whatever will happen, will happen. You just need to remain positive.

Thanks Gurum for your reply, l bet we should keep on waiting, do you reckon giving them a ring just to find out what the problem is, l just checked from their Wellington branch website this info " 95% of SMC applications will be decided between 6 to 9 months once application has been received for processing, regarding our timeframe our ITA was lodged on 18 December 2008, interview was done on 11 June 2009, and their 9 months clocks this coming 18 September 2009. Probably another little waiting bring good news.

    thanks Benjie

    Hi Benjie,

Immigration Profiling Group (IPG) within Border Security Unit is responsible to process the application from the people from the countries where there have been war crimes, crimes against humanity and/or human rights abuses.

There are more than 20 countries on the list including Afghanistan, Cambodia, Myanmar, Iraq, Zimbabwe and central African countries.

If you are one of these nationalities, your application will be forwarded to IPG regardless of where you reside or where you lodge the application.

Although IPG is located in Wellington, it is in fact a different office from the INZ Wellington Branch. It is therefore the information provided on the Wellington Branch site is irrelevant.

The processing time for the residence application could take between 9 - 12 months and it may also vary on case to case basis.

Good luck and I would say " be patient ".
