    Default How long after interview?

Would anyone know whether NZIS informs you about your status, ie accepted or declined PR, at the time of the interview or would it time some time for them to make their decision. If their decision is made at the time of the interview, do they grant you your visa on the spot or would that take a while too? If the decision is granted after a while, how long is the waiting period? Look forward to all your answers.

I'm sure they don't tell you at the time of interview that you have been granted PR but I hope someone more in the know will advise on how long between interview and letting you know the outcome.

I believe they only tell whether application would be rejected or not at the end of interview. No Decision on WTR/PR is taken at that time. It can take a while before you are intimated of actual interview result ,waiting period can be of 2-3 months again
have you got date for your interview ?

I had a telephone interview with NZIS, which lasted about 20mins. At the end, my CO told me she would recommend that we get PR, and were told formally by letter, and email a couple of days later.

I assume you had applied at UK branch, UK branch is very quick to process PR applications.NZIS branches in India and china usually take more time .

    Sandhu,

Are you sure about the 2-3 months waiting period after the interview? From most people on the forum I've understood that it is about 3 weeks. But then again my application is at the New Delhi branch.

Could anyone who has been interviewed at the Delhi branch please respond

There is no fixed waiting period , depends upon case to case . but 2-3 months seems to be average waiting period for Non-UK branches. Check out damy's posts , I guess damy had applied at Delhi branch and was interviewed last November.
Again , have you heard from NZIS ? I am yet to get anything from them .This delay has really put my life on hold

Default We are approved via London

It only took a few days after the interview for us to get approval for PR. My wife is the principal applicant and our CO told her at the end of the interview that we would not need to worry about being rejected. The CO stated that she would need to get approval from her manager as to her recommendation. The Interview was this past Tuesday and we got an email stating that we had been approved on Friday.

Good luck to all. It's time to start getting serious about what we will be bringing with us.

    Cheers,
    Brad
