Um, not done immigration medicals yet, but I would point out I had very high liver enzymes when my gallbladder incident was going on. It was to do with the level of bilirubin in my blood. Someone else I know has high liver enzymes and she's just been told she has gallstones. An ultrasound scan should show up if there are gallstones present.

Hi my hubby's liver test failed too and had to do additional ultra-sound scan. Turn out he got a 'fatty' liver (he's on the big side). All these causes some delay but eventually he's 1yr WP is granted.

Have just heard now after having a 3rd blood test the medical assessor has requested Neil sees a Liver Specialist and a Haematologist.

This is really putting a downer on things- thats 2 specialists and god knows how much all the tests etc are gonna cost and if they will even give us th PR afterwards.

We've had big discussions now on plans of going back to UK.

Oh dear, Beth . How worrying for you all. Let's hope it's just something simple, which won't have any effect on your PR application. Keep us posted.

Well both our specialists have given the all clear and both wondered why immigration wanted the refferel. Looks like immigration just have athing for liver probs at the moment.

So letters have been emailed back to our case officer who is forwarding them back to the medical accessor so fingers crossed all should be good now.
