Default activating Work permit visa
Hi,

What is the timescale to activate work permit visa if you don't get permanent Residence even though you applied for PR but granted work permit.

I take it that you have applied for PR but INZ has granted you a WP to give you time to find a job in NZ?

According to this ........

e. Principal applicants* who are not in New Zealand and are issued visas under this policy will have the decision on their SMC application deferred for a period of 12 months to enable travel to New Zealand and a stay in New Zealand of 9 months (refer to WR6.5).

It sounds like you have 3 months to get to NZ and a further 9 months to look for a suitable job. Then you should be granted PR.
