Default 3 weeks till PR?

Well, seeing as I'm sat here so patiently, waiting for our unknown case officer to contact us, have been comparing recent PR receivers, in similar circumstances to ourselves.

The upshot is, we should have PR (verbally at least) in 3 weeks time

That is, of course, that they do decide in our favour!

You have a lot more patience than I do! If you have a client number and an application number, why not give them a call and see what the status is?

If you have a CO assigned to your case then give him/her a call and see how long it will be before you can expect a verbal conformation of approval for PR.

Good luck

We've tried this in NZ. Our CO said 'as long as it takes' and we need confirmation because we need to enrol Lauren in university ready for next month! If we don't hear soon she'll either have to wait until nx February AGAIN or we'll have to pay the $9k international fees.

I've emailed them twice, and both times I effectively got told just to wait.

and although we "have" a case officer, we have no idea who they are, or their phone number as they won't tell us!!

Back to waiting I suppose?

Strange, usually you get informed who your case officer is! You didnt send them in the tape of B.J doing a banjo performance so he could get in on a talent visa, did you?

That is strange. I think we were contacted by our CO by email to tell us our application had been accepted. It could have been that banjo demo that did it.

think I might phone them later as there's only 2 weeks left until their promised "decision within 3 months" is up!

Scrap my last message . I have just opened my mail box, to find an email from our case officer, and I have my telephone interview TODAY!!

I think after that, it's a week to their decision?

right, what do I need to tell them? Or rather, NOT tell them?

The interviews are generally informal, just questions about you and your reasons to move to NZ. It's more to catch the non-genuine people who submit false applications or fraudulent ones etc. Say nothing about Jon and you'll be fine
