Phew .. interview with immigration over and done with.

Wasn't really the grilling I was expecting ...

just where we were heading,

how I intended to find work,

why we chose NZ,

Whether we had friends and family there,

At the end I was told there were 3 possible outcomes,

the first was decline, which she said wouldn't happen in our case

the second, Permanent residency visa

and the third Work to residency visa.

Will be on post watch now for the next week for the outcome!!

Can get on with planning our big trip now!! How does July 14th sound for some new arrivals?

Lou

Well I think that sounds pretty bad. I'm sure I'm washing my hair that day.

Well done on the interview, good to know you're accepted, in one form or another!

Well I've done it ... tickets are booked for 11th August!

Figure that's 3 months away so should have our blue stickers by then!!

Just the panic now as to what we are actually gonna do when we arrive at Auckland airport!

Well done on booking the tickets- makes it all seem so real now eh?

Do you know what you going to do when you get here or what city you want to end up at?

You want to do some traveling and exploring before getting stuck into the job search etc?

Beth

we have 2 plans:
1) Secure a job prior to leaving, and head there, hopefully with a rental pre-arranged too

2) Purchase a camper van and tour/explore/interview!

Just in a bit of a spin as we arrive in Auckland at 5am, with our 2 children with no-where to go, & need to sort out when we actually ship Willow over, not to mention our goods! We have 3 months to plan all those details!

I'm sure everything will fall into place just fine.

As we flew straight to Welli from Auckland it was actually a sensible time when we landed so just came straight to the rental via shuttle bus- you can pre-book them which i would suggest if you have accomodation booked.

The camper van option can be very expensive I beleive Dawn said.
I know you liked Hamilton but do you have feelings on any other places?Anywhere you don't want to go etc.

Who are you flying with?
