ITA submitted - at last!!

I don't think we were destined to submit our ITA. When we first planned to submit it we found a problem with my daughter's x-ray so 2 weeks, extra tests & ?360 later she is now all clear. We saw both doctors (specialist & panle doctor) yesterday and got the medicals all signed off and then headed to NZ House . I had previously checked their opening hours and was sure they shut at 4.30pm. We arrived at 3.45pm only to be told they had just closed I didn't make a fuss but I think they could tell I was annoyed so they called a nice gentleman down from immigration who , although could not go through the ITA with me, was able to take it off me. Unfortunately I did not have certified copies but normal copies and the original documents. I told him this and he assured me they would courier the originals back.

We were a little disappointed as we would have liked to spoken to an immigration officer and know that we had got all the right documents but at least it has been handed in. I have emailed my Visa Officer to let her know it has been handed in and for her to confirm she has got it. Now we just wait.

Well you are one step closer now.

Glad the medicals were all clear- worth the extra cash to know she is all well i guess.

Lets hope everything is in order and they get their bums in gear.

Our originals were couriered back (twice!) so I'm sure you'll be fine Having said that, once you have your CO, I'd let them know you want them couriered back just to be sure. When ours was appointed, I was given her email address & direct phone number & she was very good at keeping in contact.

It's my understanding that the certified copies are needed if you're not sending the originals. We got all our originals back just fine; at one point we had to request our passports so we could go out of country. We just returned them after we were approved, so the blue stickers could be added.
