Sending your passport off for the PR stamp

Another thing that we've learnt recently that when you are in NZ and assigned an Immi Branch to deal with your PR this is the branch you always have to deal with until you get your PR stamp. Even when it comes to making payments. It all has to flow through the branch assigned to you.

I work accross the road from Wellington Immi and took our passports in to get our PR stamp and they couldnt do it for me. We had to send the passports to Hamilton along with a cheque as Wellington weren't allowed to process the payment either. Such a pain!!
