    Default Case Officer assigned?

How were you informed that you'd been assigned a case officer?

Email, Post, or via status on-line?

I only ask, as according to their guidance re. latest assignment of ITAs to officers, we should now have one but have heard nowt

BTW, we have no job offer, and our paperwork is at London branch

    TIA
    Lou

    Red face

    Hi Lou,

We were informed by post who our officer was.
Although our status changed on our on-line page very little further info was put on there, nor did we ever receive any emails from her.

Hang in there, hopefully it won't be too long before you hear something now.

    Hi,

We were the same we were assigned ours when we rcvd our ITA pack. We had very little contact with him once this was done it was only chasing him to find out about our ITA status and how long we'd have to wait as the website doesnt give too much away.

We were both living in NZ when we applied for PR and Stu was in a contract IT job.

I dont know if this contributed or not. I have noticed tho that the time scales for residency being applied for in NZ are a bit faster once you have your ITA compared to outside of NZ.

I'd give immi a call and see what they say. We called pretty much every week for updates as our Immi Officer was a bit slack.

I had a job offer before I submitted our EOI. I know if you have a job offer things are pushed through much quicker. I haven't yet submitted our ITA but the letter does give us the name & contact details of our visa officer. As Amy says - it may be worth giving them a call - just to remind them you exist if nothing else.
And as for Jon - just send him down the pub again

    Just a quickie ...

I emailed NZIS on Monday .. and it turns out we HAVE been assigned a case officer, they'd just neglected to tell us.

Not sure it means much, as we were told that when that case officer starts actually looking at our file will we hear anything from him/her!

Well done, Lou. You're inching forward slowly, but going in the right direction.
