Default What evidence ..................

............... can I supply to go with my ITA to prove my relationship with my husband and also my 18 year old daughters dependence on us? They say a marriage certificate is not enough evidence of our relationship? What else have others provided?

My daughter is 18 and at Uni - what can I use to prove her dependence on us? She has a student loan to pay her fees & accomodation. We house her when she comes home for free and buy her food occasionally. But I have no actual proof of what we provide for her.

Hello!

My boyfriend and I aren't married but have been together for 11 years. I think NZIS just want proof that yours is a genuine stable marriage.

All we sent as proof was our tenancy agreement (we were renting in the UK) which showed we took the house 6 years ago, then we also sent a recently dated letter from our landlord to show we were still in the house together. We also sent a joint bank account statement from when we opened the account a few years ago, and our most recent statement. And that was sufficient.

Hope that helps - sorry can't help with the daughter situation.

Clare

Default anything with your two names on

like bank statements, utilities bills, also pictures of you together preferably with dates on the back as far as your daughter is concerned any documents that have come to your address in the post to her.........also do you pay her loan or does she? is there evidence of that that you can provide, again photographs of you all together and if they have dates stamped on them great.

I have been going through the same kind of deliberation as to what to provide with my application.............i decided that the more i can cram in showing that we have been together over the last 17 years the better.

Good luck

We decided to only send in four documents to prove our relationship as we felt those we were sending did prove it and we wanted to cut down the amount of paperwork our case officer had to wade through, hopefully making his job quicker and thus our PR would be quicker!!!

All we sent were bank statements and mortgage statements. I don't think sending pictures is entirely necessary, unless that's all you have.

a marriage certificate for the parties;
a civil union certificate for the parties;

Hi,

All we had to provide was our Marriage Certificate when we went through our ITA and we' only been married 3yrs.

Our friends who have been together for 5yrs but not married just sent in some old photos of them together, a joint bank account and their tenancy agreement and that was enough for them.

Good luck!

NZIS confirmed that as well as our marriage certificate and the kids birth certificates I could send joint bank statements from April, July, Sept & Dec & our water rates as these are all in joint names. As for proof of dependancy I need to show something that says she is studying full time and sonething with the address on such as a bank statement. Easily sorted.
