Default Timeframe to move to NZ after receiving the visa
Hi all

I have another question...

If everything goes well and I get the PR visa (as a skilled migrant), what timeframe do I have to move to NZ? Do I need to do it immediatelly, do I have to do it within X months after receiving the visa, or can I move whenever I want?

I tried to find the answer for this question here and in the NZIS website with no luck...

You have one year to activate your visa and two years to establish residency. That means that you must travel to NZ within 12 months of the issue of your visa, and for 2 years you can come and go as you please.

Thanks for your reply... yes, that sounds very reasonable I think. I was afraid that when I got the visa (IF I get it of course...) I had to rush and leave everything behind to move to NZ.

But one year is more than enough time to sort everything out before moving!
