Red face Any other things to worry about?

Hi guys. Just getting everything together for submitting our ITA, we are waiting for the results of our medicals and our Police checks. Being on the "large" side, we are hoping that we are ok- the Doc asked my hubby how long he had been an Opera singer Sure, we are big, but are perfectly fine to work full- time etc, so hope that this wont hold us back.
We have put our house up for sale, pending medical results, as this is our biggest obsticle. I have a job to go to, so am wondering whether there might be any other things that might hold us back. Maybe we are looking for problems that might not happen, guess I'm wondering how smoothly things will go once we know about the medicals

Hi Ali

I don't think being cuddly bars anyone from getting PR. It just means that you may be asked to do a couple of further tests (I think one may be to test for diabetes) if NZIS sees fit. It may mean a little bit more time and, of course, a bit more money .

As long as all your quals, a copy of your job offer and all your other docs are in place there shouldn't be much to worry about, but then, you know the NZIS . Anything's possible Good luck and here's hoping it all goes through smoothly.

Don't really know about any other problems you might come accross but just wanted to say congrats and good luck. Sounds like you are well on your way with job offers in place etc.

Hope all is well with yor medicals.

Beth

Thumbs up

Thanks for the encouragement guys, we didn't eat before the medicals, as we knew about the fasting lipids/glucose tests that were required for raised BMI levels, so they did the bloods at the same time as the rest of medical. Have had to send letters regarding a DVT that I developed on my trip to NZ in March- I should finish taking the tablets next month, then be clear from that aspect.
