Great idea bstar

I'd do mine, but I've been here over 2 1/2 years now, so it's a bit of a distant memory!

That's no excuse for the rest of you

Hurray, a result - nearly, anyway. Good luck with the rest of it.

Red face Ita?

Hi All

Maybe you guys can shed come light on our application. What does Residence Application Initiated mean - it has said this for two months now and we have had no ITA in the post or anything else. Any ideas?

Hi Littie,

I haven't heard this one before, but it sounds like they've put the application into gear, which is good news. Perhaps a call to NZIS to clarify what it means and why there's been a delay in hearing anything further would be in order.

Let's hope someone else has had this appear on their file and can fill you in about what it means.

Smile

Thanks for being so welcoming, Its really nice to have people who empathise and care

I did call and it means that our case has not been assigned to an immigration officer as yet (we were selected 28 February on 140 points with no job offer) they should be calling us anytime from now until mid July, still not so certain about the interviews though which are taking place beginning July to end August.

Have had to learn to be patient through this process. Will keep you all posted

That, from my experience, is the understatement of the year! As I've said to my friends who ask "Have you heard from New Zealand yet?", we are all on their timetable; they don't work on ours.

Bstar that has to be the quickest turnaround ever on an ITA! 3 weeks you received it and had it back to them. Good for you. I don't know how you did it.

Jon - looks like about 4 months from submitting your ITA to having the visa. We are in a similar place in that we are submitting w/o job offer. 4 months would be fine but I'm a little gun shy after the nzqa took way longer than anticipated. I guess we'll see what happens.

so far:
11-03-06 submitted EOI online
11-08-06 selected from pool
12-01-06 status changed on website to (decision successful)
12-12-06 received ITA package from London
4-01-07 2 month ITA extension. NZQA backlog on assessments.
5-15-07 Mailed ITA
