I think you have hit the nail on the head, my soul is weary and I think it's about time my luck changed. Maybe the luck is in New Zealand. I have been a single mum for about 10 years with a marriage, although it was short in between, he was away all the time anyway. I look at the pictures on here and Glenda's blog and it helps me to focus on what I want for me and my daughter.

Your mother in law is being selfish, she should want what makes her son happy. My mum and family are wishing me the best and want me to go, hang on, I think they are trying to get rid of me :o

Ha! My mum and dad were trying to get rid of me also! :D Love them to bits. [smiley=060.gif]

My lone f-in-f-in-law (emphasis on the f-in) considered his son and grandchildren his property, me an insignificance, and threatened everything he could to stop us going to New Zealand, even got a temporary legal block on us selling the house and taking the money out of the country. He made life hell for us.

I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed that you hear from immi next week. Do try and make the most of your last days in the UK, Vee. Get a bit of R&R in - as Dawn pointed out, you will be very busy when you get here!

:)

:o I thought I had it bad with my daughter's dad. You must have been at your wits end. How on earth could he stop you selling your house, sorry being nosey, that is just frightening.

I just want to get going now and I don't really know if I want a party, my daughter does and my friends won't forgive me if I don't. They have all been inviting themselves to NZ. Don't know where they are going to stay as I only have a 2 bedroom flat at present. Yes, I have an address, woopee!!

Don't know about R & R was supposed to do a carboot Sunday but we are getting weather from the Arctic, can here the wind howling outside.

I am now at the mercy of immigration, they know I have a job and when I start work. By the way, I got the paperwork from the midwifery council today, that's less than a week from New Zealand.
Thanks everyone for your support and will give you an update soon.
Vee
