Just wanted to thank everyone for all their help and advice over the last few months, the interview went well but I was dead nervous.

I have just returned from a holiday to find a letter waiting for me, they have granted me a 6 month work to residence visa :icon_biggrin:

Just wondered if anyone else has gone down this route and how they found it with the 6 month thing

Again, big thanks for everyones help on here, really did doubt I could do it at some points

Congratulations, Katie. I'm not sure if anyone else on here is going/has gone to NZ on a 6-month WTR visa, which is relatively new. Let's hope someone can help you out on some information.

Thanks Mother Bear, I will keep everyone posted on my progress, needless to say I am very excited about going full stop and will be working my bum off for the 6 months I am there, my friends in NZ are all dead excited about me getting there soon.

As I say, this board has helped me so much to prepare for things and to know what to do and especially in the days when I thought I had blown it etc. the boards kept me going

Hi There, have been looking at flights etc. today and looking at leaving on 14th January.

I have a friend in Pukekohe who has said I can stop there to start with.

Katie, is the WTR thing where you have to have a talent to offer? i.e. be a prominent sports person or artist?
