    Default interview time

    Eeek!
just thought i'd share with you, interview time tomorrow!
not logged on for a while but been browsing and thought id update my story of trying to become a kiwi.

got a call today and set up my interview for 2mo morning. i hope i'm prepared but feel a wee bit nervous about it at the moment.

i dont have much time tonite for catch up but i'll be back online tomorrow getting any up to minute news. i'm sure i'll be on here for a wee hour or two, whats new eh!!

submitted my ITA in feb and its less than the 4 months nzis said it would take to process which is excellent. and on that note any contact ive had with nzis so far has been nothing short of excellent. very helpful, friendly people.

as always some posts on here have helped me prepare and especially the one about 'the all important interview' and Mother Bears, as always, informative reply. the list of potentiall questions will be getting looked over a few times. thanks MB.

anyways, i have got in place as preparation
    - my plan/finances detailed so i can show how i will support myslef as i look for a job.
    - ive got details of me searching for one and the response ( which seem positive )
    - cost of living i may need to look into a wee bit more.
    - why i want to go to NZ is tricky, ive never been but know i'll love the place. read so much good things about NZ and the people. both work and play. i dont have a specific reason so i hope i answer this question well.

anything ive forgot in my excitement? i hope not!!
well i'm beginning to ramble so i'm gonna go and try to stop being so excited about 2mo and then catch some sleep

thanks for all advice so far.

All the best for the interview Justnozi. It’ll be a breeze.

Rumour has it that the interviews are very laid back and relaxed and you’re armed with all the potential questions. Can’t go wrong. Let us know how you get on.

Steady, Welshgirl. Remember, you're in NZ now. There's no need to go to such extremes. This is a decent site after all.

    From Kiwi Words and Phrases
root: to have sex. A warning to folk from the USA! - A female visitor from the US has this to say... My first time in NZ I made the unfortunate mistake of listing off my hobbies to a family that had me over for tea.... among my hobbies? 'I like to root for the football team!' (one of the boys said, What, the WHOLE team??')

lasted about 15mins - very informal and friendly interview.

they said i'd find out pretty soon about the decision. ive got my fingers and everything else crossed. been trying to put the whole process to the back of my mind and just takes each thing as it comes but this has got me all excited again. i hope i get it and get to join all you lucky lot over in NZ.

    cheers again.

I'm sure you won't be the first person to ramble and even more sure you won't be the last! Sounds like it went really well so here's hoping you get the result you want. Please let us know asap cos I'm all anxious and nervous now..... :icon_biggrin:

    In anticipation..................
