i'm just about ready to get all my ITA documents together. do we need to put a covering letter in with it and is it best to have a contents list?

i think that is the way i will go but just wanting to know what others did. thanks

just to say guys i put in a cover letter too. just a couple of paragraphs but the guide did say to put one in so i thought it best.

submitted it on monday.

This is how I did ours

Dear Skilled Migrant Team

Further to your letter dated **th ******* 2005 please find enclosed our application for Residence Visa including the following requested documentation.

? Completed Application form, together with payment details and photographs.
? Certified copies of our full Birth Certificates.
? Certified copies of our Passports.
? A Certified copy of our marriage certificate and most recent joint bank account statement as evidence of our living together.
? Certified Copies of letters from previous employers confirming my work experience together with contracts, payslip
? Certified copies of my qualifications
Certified copies of my partners Qualification and course transcript.
? Medical certificates
? Police certificates

I have also included the following:
? Migrant Levy payment form
? Full Passports for all applicants
? Return pre-paid envelope for the return of our passports and documentation you no

Ours was basically the same as fingerscrossed, however I was more detailed with the employment history evidence, ie citing each item - ie pay slips P60s, employment contracts etc.

I also asked for our documents to be returned asap, particularly passports as we are off on our final "northern hemisphere" holiday soon.

It must have been OK, as our visa officer has been very nice & helpful so far!
