hope this helps, not sure if SE england differs but if you just go along to your local police station, they will provide you with the document/information you need.

here is wee summary of what i did:
went into local station, officer there gave me the required form and told me to hand it into the station which deals with this ( Pitt St, Glasgow ). very helpful
i took this home, filled in the required sections, need to get a Scottish and UK wide search.
took it to Pitt St, where officer checked over this and took ?10.00 from me. again very helpful.
the UK wide search can take 40 days, so had to wait.
i got the Scottish letter within 10-14 days.
Monday there was the 40 day time up on the UK search so i began to worry, "was it lost in post, etc"
i got a number fom this site to telephone to chase up the UK part - thanks nattydread
i telephoned this yesterday and officer said my letter/document was sent out on Monday 16th Jan ( exactly 40 days since i submitted request ) so should be here this week. [smiley=icon_biggrin.gif]

and thats me about ready to submit my ITA - plan to do this a week on Monday.

Default uk police report

We rang the big police HQ and explained what we were looking for & got put through to the data protection officer - she sent forms out by post, they arrived next day we filled them in & sent them back with driving licences. A week later we got our licences back & a letter saying that we there was no data on the local files & that a request had been sent to the central data office for processing.

Cheers

Nick

As above, you local police station should stock the forms you require. If not, arrest them for being understocked and useless ;)

Taffy

Can we arrest them for ONE of the above....i.e. useless?

In which case who is going to police our streets when they are all locked up?

Did you know that statistically, Cumbria Police need to employ 0.3 of an afro-carribean police officer to be politically correct? Looks like there is a definate job for a dwarf from jamaica!

Cheers
