I was just about to ask same question as above. We were told that without a job offer it could be up to 6 months before you get your little blue sticker - must admit we were panicking a bit as we are hopeing to go out early 2006.

I don't see Skybluearmy on here so much these days. He's possibly rushing around getting his life in order ready for the big move.

Having a job offer certainly seems to speed up the PR decision, so it has to be a good thing, but I wouldn't like to say he got PR purely because of his job offer. I think NZIS are more concerned about what skills you can bring into the country and having a job offer is just the icing on the cake.

I must say that after reading more of the postings in the forum, I also feel that it is truely possible to get the ITA appoval even without a job offer and that is a good thing.

Most importantly I feel, positive attitude is critical!! :004:

Very true. Neither employers nor the NZIS would look favourably on you if you didn't have a good attitude towards your application. So....go for it and good luck!

We submitted our ITA today, with all the paperwork except the police check forms these are taking forever!

We submitted everything as soon as we had the completed medical forms through, so we could get them in before 28 November. Everyone needs to be aware that the medicals get tougher from 28 November, with a lot more to test, at a greater cost.

Mywife is a nurse and it seems a real piece of cake to get help in getting a job in NZ, so here's hoping............

BTW, anybody here live in Christchurch, and Somerfierld in particular? I went to school there!
