I have posted my ITA this morning :icon_biggrin: . But was a fiasco!! I went to the post office and sent it all off by special delivery after checking that I had included everything several times. When I got back to my office I realised that I had forgotten to include the covering letter :icon_eek: icon_exclaim.gif . I had to walk back to the post office and beg them to allow me to open the package and add in the letter. They did after I explained how important this was :smiley20: .

And to just complicate things more, I have just been given a ?5,200 pay increase/year. Do you think they are trying to keep me here :icon_lol:

There you go then, a win win situation. I'd wish you luck but I'm sooo jealous hehe.

No seriously, good luck with it all.

Glad you've got such an understanding post office clerk gossage ::):

Sods law with the pay increase - what's the bet they wouldn't have offered it to you had you not been going to NZ! Typical :icon_rolleyes:

Anyway, best of the luck with the PR application :icon_biggrin:

A link which, if you scroll down to the grey page, should give you the checklist you're looking for. I tried to copy it but, being a pdf file, it wouldn't let me.

Jento -

Depending on your chances of receiving an ITA, you could get yourself fingerprinted and request the police check. However, it costs money, so if you're not sure you'll get an ITA, you may not want to pursue these yet. Same with scheduling the medical exam. They have a form and certain things for which to examine.

In the meantime, you should be sure you have a valid passport with at least a year to go on it, a certified or original birth certificate, diplomas, certificate of marriage, and so on. If you are in a "de facto" relationship, start collecting evidence that you have been in a "stable and committed" relationship for at least a year.

Oh, for the application, medical and Xray certificates you'll need a total of 6 passport-sized photos of each person. Taking home photos & printing them yourself is apparently OK.

If you're really wanting to get over ther, start looking for a job. You can then get a work visa while waiting for PR. This will give you more points, and put you on the fast(er) track. We have 100 points with no job, and were just told it would be 3 months until we get a case worker.

I'm probably reiterating what's on MB's link above - sorry, I'm too lazy to check, but not too lazy to sit here typing :icon_wink: . Good luck.
