    Default Medical

    Hi all

Need some advice. Ive just received my medical questionnaire to fill in.

Would stating that I am an ex-smoker jeopardise my visa chances?
Theres no record of me being a smoker on my GPs records so im not sure whether i should declare it

    Thanks

    Hi Lincoln. Welcome to MTNZ.

I wouldn't imagine declaring that you are an ex-smoker in itself would do any harm, but your past history of smoking might only be taken into consideration if any associated problems with, say, your lungs or heart would show up in the medical. Being an ex-smoker isn't a crime, quite the opposite, as it shows you've 'seen the light' and are now leading a healthier and smoke-free life.
