    Default My ITA Status...still waiting

    Dear All

    Some information...

    EOI selected..............24 Mar 2010 (150 point)
    ITA received..............06 April 2010
Lodgement Date.........04 May 2010 (Beijing Branch received the application)
Receive a package......28 Jun 2010 (Case Officer assigned)
Contacted INZ...........14 Feb 2011 (INZ informed me that my application is currently under process also informed INZ on my newly born twins and been advise on the documents to submit for my twins)

Planned to move over to NZ in May 2012. I'm wondering by then if all these processing had been completed already or not.

I'm wondering does the INZ take my wife work profession as consideration also? Which will help to give me an advantage.

Because the main appliance is me. And both of us fix into NZ requirement of long shortage of job skill and future shortage of job skill.

I'm an IT Program Manager and my wife is a Nurse Manager

I had tried in the past to play around with the EOI point by putting her as main appliance and me as main and see who is able to score the highest point. Result is both of us manage to score more then 140 with her scoring 145 and me scoring 150 that why I decided to put myself as main appliance.

You can claim 20 bonus points if your wife has a recognised qualification. Look at the bottom of this chart.

Just found out from a friend whom also applied and base on what he mention, his submitted his ITA 3 months later then me and both of us are in the same branch office.

What different in his ITA is that he claim of family member in NZ and plus he is married with 3 young kids. Other then that the skill set and the rest should be around the same as mine.

After he submitted his ITA, he only waited for 2 months and got his interview and within 1 month after the interview he got his residence visa. While for me till date I'm still waiting for my interview.

Just wondering how come his process is so fast compare to mine.

I guess he might have got a few extra points for close family in NZ but I don't think he would get them for being married with children. Perhaps his wife has a job skill or qualification that he claimed for? If he claimed 3 months later than you but had the same circumstances as you, it would be strange that he had a result earlier unless you have had any delays on your application e.g. medical issues etc. Did he have a job offer? Maybe he hasn't told you everything. I thought all applications had to be taken in date order now so there must be something different with his application process.

Good luck Keigo. With 150 points, i believe the chance of getting Resident Visa is high.
I plan to move over to NZ after May 2012 as well.

Just finish my interview today, well my immigration officer told me she is impress by me cause of my knowledge of kiwi all the way to every micro detail. And I'm able to answer all her questions without much of a questions been asked from her.

For now have to wait for 2-3 weeks and see what kind of visa I will be getting.. just hope it will be residence visa.
