Default Are High Liver Test Levels a Guaranteed Fail with NZ Immigration?

Basically, i had my medical and everything is fine but the Liver tests.
I'm 25, teetotal, never had a drink in my life and they came out too high.

I'm not fat either. Go to gym, but dont have any protein shakes etc. Only thing i do wrong is eat Cadbury's chocolate a lot. I'm quitting that instantly to see if it helps.

I got till end of July to hand in all my paperwork, so i got a few weeks to sort things out - retesting in a couple of weeks

Of all the things i thought i'd be ok on, it was this.

Have any other non-drinkers had a similar experience?

If i hand in my paperwork with high readings for the liver test, is that an instant fail?

Was it stated what exactly was wrong with your liver result? Could it have been fatty liver, which is something that a lot of people seem to fail on? It needn't be anything to do with drinking alcohol. It could be the way your liver processes fat which would tie in with your chocolate habit (Mmmmmm, chocolate ). Try doing a search on here for 'liver' or 'fatty' which will bring up some previous posts about possible liver problems and you'll find you're not alone. Having abnormal liver results is not an automatic fail and I would hope, with a little change to your diet, all will soon be well. Didn't the doctor advise what would be best for you to improve this?

i'll post them on here if anyone can make sense of them

I hope it is the chocolates as then its something i can change

i got 7 weeks to hand everything in. I'll try and get as much research/testing done on this as possible and hand in whatever i can and hope for the best

    Cool

My suggestion to fatty liver problem and lever test function:

drink at least 8 -10 glass of water everyday,

consume more raw fruits , eat vegetables rather than ham burgers cheese, chocolates and other fried stuff.

Just completely stop eating packed food.

I had the same problem , I did these and all sorted out.....I am glad INZ raised this issue for me.

I am 99percent sure you will be alright in two months
