Default Visa officer / Case officer

    Hi,

Hope someone can help to explain ... I wish to know is a visa officer and a case officer is referring to a same person with a same job ? INZ shanghai had inform we my application will be pass over to a visa officer in September. By the way can i assume no one is handling it now and work only start once a visa officer be assign ? or now my application is with a case officer which is under a process and will pass over to a visa officer after this in September ? This is because we notice the medical certificate will only valid for 3 month and by September it will be expired. confused...

    Hi Savage_mau,

I think that both Visa Officer and Case Officer are the same thing. We also received an email today stating that we will be allocated a Visa Officer 9-12months after the Lodgement Date.

    What a killer wait! :)

Yup.Today I receive the email as well. I just thought that maybe our application is now with a case officer and will pass to a visa officer once it had gone through the first round with case officer. They must have gone through the application before they can give us back the original certificate and even the photo. Beside that the medical certificate will be expired in 3 month time which mean around this month.

    MOTHER BEAR,

Maybe u can help to explain to me here.

As Tamtra says, the visa officer and case officer is the same thing. You only have 1 person, not 2 dealing with your application.

Once you have submitted your medical certificate to INZ it won't expire. The clock stops ticking when they receive it, so you shouldn't have to worry about that unless there is a problem with your health.
