I am currently looking at emmigration consultants as i will definately need help with the paperwork, Is it correct that if they are a NZ solicitor they do not have to be a registered advisor ? and anyone used Borey Chum of migration associates? Apparently this is correct but, if they aren't specialists in immigration law, you wouldn't really know what you were getting. Bear in mind that much of what you need to do during the application process will have to be done by you anyway e.g. collating all your documents and providing information, so you could save yourself a lot of money by using forums like this to answer any queries and to help you through the process.

I have to whole-heartedly second the idea of working on nursing registration. It does take time, and it's a frustrating process for some (like me!). Once you have registration, you will have no trouble finding a job anywhere!
Arrived in Auckland on August 6, 2008.Now live in Kawakawa with my kiwi partner.
I just started working at Bay of Islands Hospital at the beginning of December 2009.
Work permit renewed and good until June 2010
EOI submitted and selected, case manager assigned and ITA received. PR application submitted 28/08/09
approved in principle 26/01/10, PR granted and received 19/03/10

Hi Julie, just talking to my kiwi partner about you, he suggest ,you click on to Malcolm Pacific Website,www.malcolmpacific.com and asked for Nigel Heslop,he is very helpful and experienced , as far as working as a nurse here in NZ ,there is a great shortage of nurses however, i suggest you check that your qualifications are acceptable here in NZ.Im sure you will find more information at the website under NZ nursing.Good Luck.

    Cheers!!!!!!!
