Smile hello hello from Croatia + UK

    Hello to everyone

I come from Croatia, my husband from UK and for the last 3 years we live in between the two. We visited New Zealand in 2007/2008 - did 16 000 km in 6 months in our campervan and absolutely loved every second of our journey.

Now we want to go back to New Zealand to live and work there permanently so I am looking into ways how to achieve that.

I already found many answers to my questions on this forum and I hope I'll find many more...

    Thank you, Sonja

    Welcome, Sonja!

Wow! 16,000km, that must have been quite some trip around NZ. I guess you must have almost seen it all. Do you have any favourite places where you might like to settle?

    Hello MotherBear

It was fantastic, we were almost everywhere... from the most northern point in North Island to the most southern point in South Island. My favorite place is Skippers Canyon - we stayed in DOC campsite, found some gold, and took amazing photographs but it is a bit remote to live there. If we could choose where we would settle it would be around Nelson and Motueka, but we'll see, it all depends upon the job location. Also my husband's mum lives in Auckland so for a start it will probably be somewhere near or in Auckland.

We did many walks and I loved it all - from sand dunes at far north, impressive kauri trees,... very nice Coromandel,... to amazing Kohaihai, very cute Hokitika, wonderful Rob Roy Glacier - I would very much recommend that walk as well as other walks in Mount Aspiring National Park - beautiful beautiful... I loved Catlins coast and saw Yellow-Eyed Penguins in Curio Bay, loved Omaru gardens and saw little blue penguins in the streets of Omaru, Arrowtown (found some gold there too ), even have been invited to perform in little Picton Theatre... saw many many other wonderful places and met great people - very nice memories!

...I get all excited thinking about it

    Talking EOI selected!

Thank you for your good wishes, our EOI has been selected from the pool!!!

How long does it take for NZI to do preliminary check of EOI
(in our case in London branch)?

    We are so happy!
