    Hi Francois, welcome to MTNZ.

Sounds like you have everything sorted with getting married in March (Congratulations!) and going to NZ. Are you being sponsored for residency or have you applied using your job skills?

Hi and thanks for the welcome, well I have had my first telephonic interview with a company called De Winter International and they said my skills are in big demand so once the new year starts they will be setting up some interviews and hopefully I will be able to come across in April or May.

Thank you MotherBear I am looking to moving Auckland as long its a nice and safe suburb I will be very happy. I have read that South Auckland is not as nice as the north does any body know of suburbs where two young people can move in which is safe and fun?

my wife and I went on a trip to Auckland in September, and we went around looking at suburbs.

Apparently the North and the East are the best places to stay. The North Shore has Brown's Bay which is full of South Africans (There's even the Springbok Kafee ). The East has Howick which is another South African outpost. My wife and I are going to be working in Bucklands Beach (Howick area) which is a beautiful area for young people wanting to start a family (although a bit pricey in terms of housing).

    I hope that helps

    Hi Francois and welcome!

We moved over from SA in May and two of my developers from SA have since come over and joined the same company.

There definitely is demand - maybe also contact Talent2 (used to be Duncan & Ryan), they place a lot of developers. And High Street IT.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I am looking to go into a SharePoint role so if any one knows of any company in Auckland hiring please let me know.
