    Well, that's a great introduction .

to the forum, Sue. Glad to have you with us. Don't think we've got anyone from the Coromandel on here so you are a welcome addition (not that everyone else isn't welcome, too, of course ). How long have you been in NZ?

    Hi there

I have been in New Zealand 11 weeks tomorrow!

We obtained our residence a couple of years ago and came out here then but for several reasons it didnt quite work out as it should and we returned to England.

Determined to make it work this time and we are living in a fabulous place, have managed to get work, bank accounts, internet and our head out of our backsides this time and we are having a great time!

Its not easy but its worth it.
Am looking forward to getting involved where I can with advice on newbies to New Zealand!

Where abouts are you Mother Bear?

I'm in Oman in the Arabian Gulf where my hubby is currently working. We hope to retire to NZ in the next couple of years although hope to start our residency application (family sponsorship) in the next few months (if I can pluck up the courage to dive in). If we are successful we will be heading to Hamilton.

Welcome, Sue! What part of the Coromandel? We enjoyed pipi & seashell collecting in Whitianga, and rather liked the area.

    Hi Selchie

Im in Cooks Beach just a short ferry ride to Whitianga.

Its wonderful having to take a 2 minute ferry to go to town and watch the dolphins swim past and occasionally an Orca. Just soooo special.

Whitianga (the big town - population 3,000) is wonderful too
    Where abouts are you now?
