    hi everyone we are looking at emergrating to nz my husband has submited cvs to variuos companies and we are eagerley awaiting a reply we havent submited eoi yet as we would like to secure employment first

    Nursing Registration sent 5th August 2007
    Job Offer 25th September 2007
    Nursing Registration received 28th December 2007
    Submitted EOI 3rd January 2008 with 150 points
    Selected 17th January 2008
    ITA Received 31st January 2008
    ITA submitted 25th April 2008
    Approved in Principle 3rd May 2008
    Blue Stickers arrived 13th May 2008
    Flights booked for 19th Sept to Christchurch

    Good luck to your husband in finding a job. It's not that easy to secure a job offer when you're not in NZ, but it can be done.

    thank you for your kind welcome my husband has two relevent qualifications wich are on the long term skills shortage list he hs been to a seminar in march and was told he stood a very good chance so everythings crossed

    Hi he has qualifications and years of experience in Senior Civil Engineering and as a Microsoft Soft Systems Engineer .He currently manages 300 staff, he went to a NZ seminar and was told he would be on the Long Term Skills Shortage List, so we have everything crossed

    Thank you we are hopinng to move from Great Britain ,so whats it like living in NZ

    Thank you ,we hope so, he went to a NZ seminar and was told that his qualifications and experience puts him on the Long Term Skills Shortage List so we are keeping everything crossed

    My Husband sent two cvs one to Christchurch and one to Taranaki (which is on the North Island) about four weeks ago,he has had conformation of reciept of them three weeks ago,but nothing else yet is that normal or should we assume nothing will come of it.

    Thanks for the birthday wishes I was lucky with my job - I am a nurse and just got in touch with the various nurse recruitment agencies. I also contacted a couple of DHB's. As nurses are in huge demand the DHB were more than willing to wait for my PR etc... and have held the job open since last September. Just 3 weeks to go
