Hi everyone my names Rachael and myself my husband with our 2 children are planning to move to NZ hopefully within the next 18 months.

No doupt i will have a few questions for all those that have been there done that lol

And hopefully i will also get to know few people so i wont be completlely lost when we get there

To be honest we really dont have a clue as to where we want to go, hoping in a way that might make it easier.

We are currently in the sussex in the uk

That's a good way of looking at it and you're no doubt quite right. Having fixed ideas about where you want to go doesn't always conveniently fit in with what fate has in store for us.

Not overly fussed with city life but not completely rural either.

Thanks everyone for your fantastic welcome you have certainly made me feel very welcome indeed.

I have been reading through some of the posts and can certainly say now that i am freaking out.

Think i (cant speak for my husband) have been heading in to this blindly, i have been thinking "oh right just got to sort out the kids passports and mine and fill in forms" blah blah blah.

But i'm not thinking what will i do where will i work.

I had planned on going to college getting a career so when my kids go to school i'l be ready........ahhh so much stuff going round my head lol

I had been looking and researching N.Z through forums and myspace for over a year lol
Even met 1 of my kiwi buddies from Wellington,when he came a holiday to Glasgow
It does take a bit of planning and a lot of chopping and changing.
Not a decision to take lightly,moving to other end of the world
But if your hearts in it,then it can be exciting and a good experience
