Default Just wanted to say Hi

Hi we are starting the process of hopefully moving from the UK to New Zealand for August 2009. My husband and I have an interview at New Zealand house London, in a few weeks time as he has an interview to join the New Zealand Navy, after being in the Royal Navy for 22 years. All very exciting and absolutely terrifing

Not really looking forward to the process of immigration but Im sure it will be worth it in the end.

Hi AHoney and to MTNZ.

It looks like you're moving forward positively with your immigration plans. Good luck to your husband when he has his interview for the NZ Navy. Hope all goes well with it as I'm sure it will .

Hi AHoney!

Welcome at the forum!
So it's relatively easy to change from the Royal Navy to the NZ Navy? - Interesting! ... Well, I wish your husband luck there! ;)
I imagine that immigration is relatively easy if your husband is in the Navy of NZ...
Did you want to move to New zealand for a long time allready? Or is it a newer plan?

Hi Tamira

I wouldn't say its relatively easy my husband had to apply with an application and all the rest, fortunately the job he is qualified to do is in the skills shortage and also the RNZN are looking to fill there growing fleet. We have been thinking about moving since 2003 and in 2004 my husband did an exchnge with the RNZN for 6 months to get a feel of what life would be like. So in essence yes it has been something we have thought about for 5 years, just never seemed to be the right time, children, family stuff but hopefully this is our time now!
