Default Soon to be Kiwi's

Hi All

We're new on this forum and soon to be Kiwis. In Brazil at the moment and 20 days to go before we'll be heading back to SA after my husband's 9 month ex-pat contract...yipppeeeeee.

We miss SA so much but will be there only a short while until we head to NZ where we'll start our new lives. Mixed emotions and anxious but extremely exited. We know its the right thing to do and our little girl will have a safe childhood and future.

Going to be hard to leave the folks behind.

Welcome to the forum Kiwikeen

There are many tough decisions to be made when emigrating but if, in your heart, you believe it's the right thing for you, then go for it. In the meantime, we'll gladly help out with any questions you may have and we'll even throw in a bit of moral support for good measure

Hi Kiwikeen.

It must have been a difficult decision to make considering you still have strong feelings for your own country. Many people are leaving their countries because they no longer wish to be there and have very negative feelings. I guess you will be used to living away from SA if your hubby works on expat contracts. That's one thing we have going for us as we've been away from the UK for 10 years, so neither we nor our families back home will feel it any different.

Good luck for the future.

Feel welcome on the forum already - Thank you MotherBear.

Yes - we do love our country very much and always will. But its time to make the BIG move to the beautiful country we read about everyday.
