Brucey. Welcome to MoveToNZ (aka as The Madhouse). Sorry about the overwhelming giant orange. It's a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be.

Well, what more can you say? What a glowing report and one, I'm sure, many people will be only too glad to read. Long may it continue.

You've probably just sprinkled a bit of magic dust on the forum.

It's great to hear from someone who thinks its great and not leaving for Oz. Me and OH have also been looking at Oz for the last couple of days, didnt consider it a week ago when we hooked up here (has it really only been a week, the days are a blur with reading everything and anything) OH really wanted to go to Nz but we were a bit put off with some of the negative feedback, even though he has a friend in Auckland and he loves it. I know monies not everything but we still want to live a little.

Even Oz has it's drawbacks.

As usual, it's a case of weighing up the good and bad in both countries and deciding what's right for you.

Wetas may look pretty ugly brutes, but they're harmless. There are cockroaches in NZ, too, and the same applies to them although they have very unsavoury habits, like wandering about in drains and sewers. It's the nasty, bitey habits of the beasties that live in Oz that worry me.

Oh and of course, the snakes in Oz........ they really worry me. Not supposed to be any snakes in NZ.

Actually, I'm rather fond of snakes, though I'd rather not frolic with the venomous ones. I hear Oz has lots of critters that bite or sting, though I'm not sure how it compares with the US. I have heard that with the recent drought years, many snakes and other critters are going into the cities looking for water. ...Every place has a drawback or two, so it helps to be knowledgable.

Anyway, welcome Brucey. I hope you keep loving NZ.
