Hi all,

Well, it's here! The all new forum!!

Ok, not that exciting, but here's what you need to know:

The old forum will be up for a while for people who have received notifications etc. PLEASE do not post on the old forum!!

I'm pretty sure everything has transferred ok, but if you are missing anything like PM's or whatever, please let me know via PM.

Deb,

If you hold your cursor over Taffy's name, a drop down menu will appear. You can select to PM him that way. Haven't tried it myself but just noticed that could be one way to do it. We're all on a steep learning curve here, but I hope it'll be good when we get used to finding where everything is and how it works. Bit like immigrating really.

There's a few hidden gems to this new forum :)

You can click on the little green or gray circle next to someones name for a menu which allows you to PM. You can also just click on their name and PM form the profile.

I'll be making some tweaks along the way to get everything up and running smoothly.

Oh, having said that, it doesn't work any more :o . I'll swear I saw a dropdown menu with various options on it before by just hovering. Never mind, clicking on it does the same thing.

Must apologise for the font size of the news articles I've posted previously :-[ . Obviously they've been greatly enlarged during the transfer from the old forum.

Hi Taffy,

The new forum looks good, but where have all the avatars gone? Do we have to upload them again or will they catch up with us?

I don't think it affects the way the forum works, but I also noticed that the 'number of posts' count for each member has gone down. Have the 'missing' posts been lost or is it just an admin thing?

So, are you just redecorating, or did some new bad thing happen with the other forum? The "new hidden gems" will have me clicking on everything, hoping to access the secret Kiwi level.
