Default How many new users have signed up since the 2012 US election? LOL

Hello everyone! I am very glad to be here!

I am keeping my options open on where I'd like to live. I am 35 years old and have lived in California my whole life except for when in the Army, where I lived in Texas for 3 years, and other various places for short periods of time during my service. I enjoy camping, fishing, and working. I am divorced with no children, no pets, and no obligations... other than work and rent of course.

I am looking for the simple life outside of the US. I'd like to live close to work, however still be able to live far enough away from other's to where I may feel a bit isolated. That would be around an acre since it is near impossible to find something that big where I live.

Some concerns I have would of course be work. Shortly after submitting this I'll be looking to see how the workforce is, and what is needed. I also have a concern regarding vehicles. I have a tiny convertible and a SUV. I am assuming the best/cheapest route to take would be to sell and then purchase something new once I arrive. But I'd still like to hear what other's may say regarding transferring vehicles to NZ.

I'll let this be for now. Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. From the little research I have done thus far today, NZ appears to be the place for me!

    Cool

It would be expensive plus we drive on the other side of the road. Gas is about $8 US a gallon here so you might think again about that suv. Think boat anchor.

What do you do for a living? Not trying to be negative but it is more if NZ wants you instead of you wanting NZ. Not the easiest place to get into if you don't have a needed skill-set.

To get permission to bring in a Left hand drive vehicle, I believe it needs to qualify as a classic, or something similar. I don't see why you would want to bring it, as it would be a pain to drive it here.
