Talking hi guys, new on here, thought id say hi!

Hi, Im new on here so thought id say hi before asking for advice and trying to sort out all the stuff that needs doing!

I am planning on emigrating to NZ with my husband and 4 year old son. We currently live in Dorset, england.

I have one initial question and would really appreciate any advice please. My hubbie is an aircraft engineer and we are going to use him as the main person on application. Have most people that have emigrating or are emigrating used an agent and how do you know if they are any good or if your money/details are safe with them? is it better to use one based here or in NZ?

    thanks for reading this

Welcome Nikki. Glad to have you with us.

There is no reason why you should need to employ an agent unless your situation is quite complicated. You would still have to do a lot of the documentation collecting and chasing yourselves which is the time-consuming bit. Most people get all the information they need from forums like this.

If you really would feel better using one, we have an on-board agent attached to this forum. If you look on the main forum menu page near the top left, you can follow the link. Whoever you might choose to assist you, you need to make sure they are a licensed agent as the law changed a while ago to help protect applicants from receiving bad information and being ripped off.
