Why it is hard to find a job

Some problems with my CV? or lack of experience? I couldn't figure it out. Just want an entry level office admini job but it seems hard to me. It's been three weeks and no positive response from any company I applied for. It is frustrating, isn't it?

Finding a job can be frustrating sometimes but never doubt about yourself.
When you didn't hear from the copanies you applied, call them, ask for the status and show your interest about the job.

not sure where abouts in NZ you have applied for an admin job..
I applied for about 10 admin jobs every day for about a week and after a one day trial period at one job, that I left at 11am coz it wasnt for me hehe, I got the job that I really wanted and I wasnt at all what the company was looking for.
They wanted someone in their 40s and I m only 24.. but I was keen to get the job and showed that. I guess most kiwis are lazy, so being european is a definate plus, but work experience in an english speaking country does also help alot!


Are you actually in NZ?
It would be hard if you were overseas, but just stay on it and keep looking, you ll find just the right job!!

Thanks guys. feel better to hear from you. I have a job interview next week, n that is the only one I got at mo. I only worked in BurgerKing and Pakensave before I got my PR, so I guess I am not that qualified for office admi's job. But I got qualifications from the Uni and I'm tired of customer service, that is the reason I want to start a new career. Hope everthing goes well.

It's a bit of an odd one, the quick reply function. It seems to work when it feels like it, and not when it doesnt!

Hi have heard other people say that it's best to have CV kiwi ified, that is redone by a kiwi, have no idea if it's the same thing, but if you look at their real estate ads or even pick up hair dressers price list and the language is much different , making claims that much more positive (and might be slightly exagerated).
