I think the big problem with NZ Van Lines and the Moving Company was that they were trying to scam extra money from the client by quoting MAF fees that were way and above what they should be and pocketing the rest. The way around this was to deal directly with MAF and pay them the correct fee. The forums were always full of complaints about this at one time but I rarely see anything now, so it would be a relief if it's been sorted and both companies are towing the line.
