Default NZ television and news

FOr those of you who are not here and want to get a feel for NZ things try TVNZ ondemand

This is a site where you can view NZ television via the web. It also has the daily news posted each day. This is TV One which is maybe the most popular of the tv channels. There also also versions of selected programs like country calendar (personal favorite) and location, location location (real estate). Some of these programs will give you a view of NZ that few see unless they are here. The most popular soap opera (Shortland Street) is also on.

This kind of stuff wasn't available when I came years ago but should be interesting for some who are hungry for info.

Cheers..

Cliff

Hi Cliff- do you know if this is available outside of NZ?
The BBC in the uk have a similar thing where you can download TV programs etc however it is only available to those in the UK.

OOps, sorry about that all. If you can find an NZ proxy so that you look like an NZ IP address you will be ok. Don't know if one but I am betting there is a free one out there.

I have run into the same in the us sites but know how to get around it by using a US based proxy. No shortage of them there.

Apologies

Cliff

Any one in the uk wanting to see a bit of real new zealand, have a look at men and motors on sky and cable. It has two shows police 10/7 and motoway patrol. Gives a really good insight.

Hey

I have also been watching clips on youtube from NZ channels. Like breakfast etc... some of those are also good.. they are not long, but they do give some info about NZ :)

Need to try to get a NZ proxy though, cos that should work to see the streams from that site.

I contacted TVNZ to see if we could come to some arrangement for members to view the programs, they pointed me at youtube, so I went back to them again saying we want to see full shows, and they ignored me!

So sorry guys, and boooo to TVNZ.

I watch international television through this website:

wwiTV.com - The ultimate guide to Live TV webcasts.

They have seven New Zealand channels.
