Bah! They're just stringing him a line to keep him hanging around. Dangling the carrot, so to speak. Nasty trick to play on someone when there's no money coming into the house. It's right that you've waited long enough. I'm sure Alcatel won't be picking up your bills when your money runs out, so time to move on and show them that Neil means business. If they think he'll hang around for ever, they'll surely let him. They must know what projects they've got coming up unless they're very short-sighted.

I just hope Neil can slot in somewhere quickly. Alcatel may eventually have the job he wants, but a job he wants but can't get is no use when he could get his second best job, which he no doubt can get and without all the messing about and false promises. A bird in the hand...... and all that.

Well apparently they are waiting for the yearly budget. Year end is July for them so they say. They are waiting for a budget report which they say is due anytime and from that they should know what and how many projects etc they will be running for the next financial year.

Neil has told them he is still looking- he is seeing a couple of people (recruitment companies) tomorrow so fingers crossed they come up with something positive.

Sooo frustrating. It is hard when you know it is the job for you. He may find a better job if he just forgets this one or this may come to fruition if he foprgets about it. Either way it must be very difficult for you all with no income.

Well he originally had and oppointment with 2 recruitment agencies today- he just called me after the first meeting- went fine they have given him a contact for someone at Fujitsu who has just had someone from the UK turn them down on a job so might be something there.
He has managed to get an appointment for another agency too while he is in Welli so thats 3 today. He has got back onto one of the original agencies he was using as they have had another job of interest come up.
That many on the go now that something has to come up.

Well after all this time things look as though they may start happening.

Neil was notified of this article today.

He emailed his contact at Alcatel to ask if he should be excited about it to which the reply was he is requesting autorisation to recruit to replace project manager that is leaving in August and that Neil should expect contact from the HR department sometime next week.

I wonder if Neil can now manage 4 job offers on the table by the end of next week? He was happy with his interview today and got another 2 next week.

All seems to be coming together finally but still don't want to get excited.

God Beth, I bet you and Neil don't know if you're coming or going. I'd take Nickydwuks advice and forget about it. Move on, switch camps, pay it no mind, behave like it doesn't exist. You're focusing too much energy in one place and that's closing down your options, shutting other possibilities out. The universe can't work it's magic unless you give it room. Your cause at the moment is negative and you're emptying your positive energy into an abyss. Bet you're knackered too, it'll be wearing you out. Switch your efforts and belief into something else and I bet you any money you like something turns up within days. Part of being successful is knowing when to pull out of something that's not working for you. Why do you think the most successful business people know just when to pull out of a deal? Something's trying to tell you something babe, open your ears, your mind and your eyes coz I'm betting you're so focused on this that you're missing something sitting straight in front of you
