Default Groups and meetups
Hi all,

If you look at the menu bar above, you should now see a 'Groups' link. This has been established to organise groups around the country interested in meetups, and other events in different areas. This is not limited to NZ though, please feel free to start groups wherever you are in the world.

Keeping track of who's where on the forum has always been a challenge, so now with the new groups service, you can see at a glance who's in your area, and also what's going on - such as regular member meetups.

I've always thought that visitors and members alike are missing a great opportunity by there being no stuctured events for people to go to. Sometimes, relating to others who are going or have been through the same as you can mean the difference between people staying and people going back home when they get to NZ.

I'm really hoping there's a few leaders among us who will start groups in their areas!! Time to make a difference, people!!!!

Great idea! Let's hope folks take advantage of it.

We have always had difficulty organising people to come together so this could be an ideal way of gathering interested folks in one place so they can make their own arrangements. It's just too complicated when everyone is spread throughout NZ.

Hi Sal,

Great signature - I have one of those women inside me, too. She can be bought with chocolate as well.

Guess you'll just have to press gang some of the folks from your part of town to join MTNZ. Here, borrow this.

Hope we'll be seeing you in the Radio Room again once Taffy has swept all the crumbs and cobwebs off the transmitter. In fact I hope I'll be seeing myself in the RR. Never sure of anything these days with my shonky Internet connection.
