Default Basics first shop

Ok- when we arrive we are obviously going to have to get some supplies. I am told buy the landlady that there is a supermarket about 5 mins walk from our holiday let (probably more like 15mins with the kids).

How much cash do you think we will need for the basic first shop- bread cereal milk coffee some veg etc to last us the first few days while we get settled?

Hi,

Depending on how many people are you feeding. I think around $200-300 will be great to last for two weeks at least, that is for food. Also depends on what you buy.

Hopefully the holiday let comes fully furnished with cleaning products (detergent, dish washer liquid and etc) and linen or else there will be extra costs to get them assuming you are not bringing any ot them over.

But just in case, bring more cash as some supermarkets may not accept credit cards or cheques.

Hope this helps..

You'll be right with 200 to 300 NZD , but might need a bit more if you're buying some bubbly to celebrate with
